I was Associate Director/Choreographer of the chorus for Katie Mitchell in this staging at the Felsenreitschule for the Salzburg Festival in 2009. Ingo Metzmacher conducted the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and the 80 strong Vienna State Opera Chorus Association. There were five film sets, a long close-up table and 5 cameras which were used to generate a live film - projected onto a screen above the stage, chorus and soloists. In 2012, we re-imagined the production for the site-specific Kraftwerk Mitte in Berlin with Staatsoper unter den Linden im Schiller theater.
